Sir Mo Farah, CBE, is one of the world’s most celebrated long distance runners, renowned for his extraordinary achievements on the track as a multiple Olympic, World and European Champion athlete.
For many he is Britain’s greatest ever athlete having accumulated 10 global titles which includes the ‘double double’ of gold medals over 5,000m and 10,000m at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.
His achievements are a far cry from his humble beginnings in Somaliland, arriving in London at the age of 8 and speaking very little English. Mo grew up in West London and began running at school when spotted by his PE teacher, who saw potential in his young student. His journey has been defined by overcoming immense challenges.
Known for his iconic ‘Mobot’ celebration, Mo’s successes have captured the imagination of a generation of sports lovers across the world and in 2017 he was knighted in the New Year Honours list for his services to athletics.
Mo’s story is a unique one and he can speak on a multitude of topics including resilience, goal setting, high performance, mindset, motivation, wellbeing and overcoming adversity to name a few, all in a moderator-led format to bring humour, insight and inspiration to his audience.
