Robbie Savage is a Welsh football pundit and formerly was a football player.
During his career he played mainly as a midfielder. He bagan his career as a youth player with Manchester United before joining Crewe Alexandra, when he failed to make the grade at Old Trafford.
He became a regular player for Leicester City in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He also played for Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers. In 2008, he joined Derby County; after a short spell on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion. He returned to captain Derby, where he ended his playing career.
Robbie Savage played for the Wales national team on 39 occasions. He is now a pundit for the BBC and regularly presents 606 on BBC Radio 5 Live on Saturday evenings alongside Darren Fletcher.
Robbie Savage gained notoriety for his playing style. He received a vast number of yellow cards during his playing career, though he has since been surpassed as the player with the most Premier League yellow cards by Lee Bowyer.
