Neil Shearing is Capital Economics' Chief Emerging Markets Economist, with overall responsibility for coverage of emerging Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Together with Mark Williams (Chief Asia Economist) he is also responsible for Capital Economics' Emerging Markets service.
Prior to joining Capital Economics Neil was an Economic Adviser on tax policy analysis and emerging markets research at HM Treasury.
He holds degrees in Economics from the University of York and the University of London and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
