With over 30 years of experience in television and media, Naomi Sesay has dedicated her career to advocating for diversity and inclusion and pioneering social enterprise initiatives. As a keynote speaker, Naomi inspires audiences to enhance their emotional and cultural intelligence, fostering a high-performing and truly diverse workforce. She has delivered impactful insights to organizations including Warner Bros, AMC, Technicolor, the Metropolitan Police, Viacom, UN Women, Harvard Medical School, Microsoft Playground, and many more.
Currently serving as the Head of Creative Diversity at Channel 4, Naomi is responsible for developing and implementing diversity initiatives that ensure commissioning reflects the UK's culturally and ethnically diverse community. Before her tenure at Channel 4, she was the Head of Innovation and Diversity at Media Trust, where she leveraged the creative industry's skills to empower charities, young people, and under-represented communities to find their voice in the media. Naomi has also designed and conducted diversity and inclusion training for companies such as Google, YouTube, NBC Universal, Amazon, Mars UK, Deloitte, Lloyds Bank, and various government agencies.
Earlier in her career, Naomi worked for MTV News as a Producer, Director, and Presenter during the peak of MTV Europe's popularity. She also became one of the first Producers of Channel 4's 'Big Brother.' In 2020, Naomi embarked on her most ambitious social enterprise project yet: developing the first smart, sustainable, female-centric city in Sierra Leone, West Africa. She has successfully attracted numerous organizations to collaborate on this initiative, which aims to create an equitable, regenerative, and eco-friendly city, serving as a prototype for future sustainable urban living.
