Marvin Humes is a DJ, producer, and broadcaster who has experienced staggering success over his 17 year career.
Born and raised in South London, Marvin’s fascination with music started from an early age. After being influenced by the likes of Todd Terry, Frankie Knuckles and Masters at Work, his father, who was a DJ, gave him the chance to play regular support slots at his own shows.
Marvin continued to pursue his musical passions and created LuvBug, a project that started off as an electronic dance trio consisting of himself and fellow producers White N3rd and JKAY. As well as scoring 2 x top 20 singles, ‘Resonance’ and ‘Revive’, LuvBug also released a string of high-profile remixes and worked with rising stars Becky Hill, Ina Wroldsen, MNEK, plus the legendary Craig David.
Marvin has since developed the project into an event series and label.
Hosting his own radio show on Capital FM, Marvin serves as the show’s tastemaker, introducing new music every night to his audience.
Beyond his radio show, Marvin’s remarkable DJ and production talents have already propelled him to numerous global stages, seeing him perform in London, Dubai and Ibiza, where Marvin has played a series of sets, including Martin Solveig’s My House residency and Bob Sinclar’s Paris By Night events at Pacha.
Marvin’s summer hit, ‘Troy’, received support by the likes of Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold, and Oliver Heldens. This took him over to Ibiza and paired with his huge run of shows across the UK, Marvin played at Hìˆ, where he headlined ‘The Club’ room at Jonas Blue’s Electronic Nature event, as well as Craig David’s TS5 at Ibiza Rocks, and Tinie Tempah’s ‘Disturbing Ibiza’ at Ushuaia.
Listed as one of the names in MixMag’s ‘Artists To Watch’ feature, Marvin started the live stream series ‘Marvin’s Room’ which saw the UK hitmaker going B2B with some of the biggest names from across the dance world, live from an East London coffee shop. This has grown to become a fully fledged club night. Marvin’s Room has welcomed special guests such as Jax Jones, Charlie Hedges and Sammy Porter.
Also hosting ‘Ibiza lives on Capital’ for Capital FM, Marvin has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, interviewing the likes of David Guetta, and Martin Garrix, and performing b2b sets with Jonas Blue, Sigma, and Sigala. Away from the White Isle, Marvin has also performed in Las Vegas with Major Lazer DJ and producer, Diplo.
