Jo Salter is an innovative and dynamic leader with over twenty years experience in the public, private and not for profit sectors. Her inspirational speeches have introduced her to a vast range of businesses and, whether it be 25 at a breakfast briefing in The Ivy or 3000 at an international conference centre, Jo entertains, challenges and energises. As the first female fast-jet pilot in the Royal Air Force, Jo has first hand experience of challenge and change, requiring tenacity, determination, flexibility and an excellent sense of humour. She is an imaginative, energetic and highly resourceful individual with first-class leadership, interpersonal, analytical and technical skills, backed by a degree in Electronic Systems Engineering and an MBA. Jo also has extensive experience of working with the media, from featuring on the front page of The Times to international radio and television coverage. She is the author of two books, her most recent 'Energize' was published by Hamlyn.
 
Jo has worked in a number of different management consultancy capacities including programme management, transformational change, strategic reviews and high performance coaching. She has run and facilitated various training workshops and seminars.
 
For over a decade, Jo has been an Associate Lecturer for the Open University Business School teaching management. As a member of a module team, she is involved in a number of broad activities including writing the exam paper for the Professional Certificate of Management and various monitoring and mentoring roles. She also authored an OU CPD module entitled 'Effective Virtual Teams'.
 
For a number of years, Jo has flown Air Cadets on Air Experience Flights from RAF Benson. She is also a Community Governor for a comprehensive school in the London Borough of Croydon and supports Global Angels, an international charity championing the causes of disadvantaged children and communities around the world.
