Chris Sutton is a highly respected former Premier League Striker who has transitioned to authoritative media pundit through his popular BBC Radio 5 live commentaries and his weekly match predictions against a variety of celebrities on the BBC sport website.

Chris Sutton’s journey to football prominence began on March 10, 1973, in Nottingham.  Born into a family with a rich sporting lineage, he was destined for athletic success. His father, Mike Sutton, was a professional footballer and had a profound influence on young Chris, instilling a deep passion for the game from an early age.

Chris was an apprentice at Norwich City from whom he was signed by Blackburn Rovers for a then record fee of £5 million where he formed a formidable partnership with Alan Shearer, helping them to win the 1994 -1995 Premier League title.

Sutton was sold to Chelsea for £10 million but the move was relatively short-lived and he moved to Celtic where he once again became a prolific striker.

At Celtic he won three Scottish Premier League , three Scottish Cups and one Scottish League Cup and reached the final of the UEFA Cup Final in  2003.

His England career was restricted to one appearance as he fell out with the then England manager Glen Hoddle. Chris has a reputation for expressing forthright views which make him an entertaining speaker.
